about

Probably the most "poetic" song I've written. It's just imagery about how happy I was in a new relationship, and where I could see it going

lyrics

There's a rose in my head, and in my heart...
And I'm taking my time, removing all the thorns...
It's stem is green, and bleeding down the streets...
and it's petals are blue, for everything I feel for you...

And we seem to relate to all the things that held us back...
and though we seem to ignore all the things that we have lacked...

There's a song in my throat, beggin' to be sang...
and it's melody is sorry for everything...
Though the fault wasn't mine, I feel it, just the same...
Empathy has led me back to trying...

And though we seem to relate to all the things that held us back...
and though we seem to ignore all the things that we have lacked...

When we're together, everything fades so we can start over...

There's a dream in my soul, and it won't go...
Away without a bullet, it's my hope to hold...
That I'll live my life fully, without givin' in, it's only...
A question of who wants to come along...
